THE BIGGEST LITTLE TOUR

Join us for The Biggest Little Tour, our signature 2 hour guided walking tour of Apricot Lane Farms!

John and Molly Chester embarked on their farming journey 11 years ago, and have regenerated what was barren land into a 234 acre working farm integrated within a reawakened ecosystem. See it for yourself as we traverse 1.5 miles of farmland, exploring how ALF utilizes the interconnectedness of nature to build soil health, maximize biodiversity, and grow the most nutrient-dense, delicious food possible. This comprehensive walking tour makes several stops around the farm, including:

  • The Farm Fertility Center to learn how we build healthy soil rich in beneficial microbes using worms, compost, and biodynamic methodologies
  • The Certified Wildlife Habitat Pond, the centerpiece of the farm’s native restoration efforts
  • Alan York Lookout to take in sweeping views of the farm
  • A stop by our chickens and cows grazing in our pastures or orchards
  • “The Fruit Basket,” an experimental orchard where we cultivate biodiversity by growing 60+ different fruit varieties with cover crop and pollinator-friendly plants
  • Market garden, where we grow vegetables, herbs, and flowers in harmony with the seasons
  • A visit to Itty, Emma the pig’s great-granddaughter

THE BIGGEST LITTLE TOUR INCLUDES:

  • Two-hour, moderately strenuous walking tour led by one of our most experienced farmers
  • Opportunities to ask questions of your expert guide and farm team members
  • Time to shop our Farmstand including fresh produce, pastured eggs and meat, and Apricot Lane Farms products and merchandise

TICKET PRICE:

$60 each (plus processing fee). Limited to four tickets per order, ages 10 and over please.

PRIVATE TOURS

For those who want a more intimate experience at the farm, we offer private tour experiences! Private tours are offered on Thursdays or Fridays at 9am as available. Please email tours@apricotlanefarms.com with any questions or to set up a tour.

Private tours begin in our 2-acre regenerative market garden where we grow 100+ crops throughout the year.

Next, we’ll see our Farm Fertility and Vermicompost Center, where we begin to learn about the foundation of our healthy soil building process with the help of more than 250,000 Red Wiggler worm friends.

Next, we’ll stroll by our Certified Wildlife Habitat Pond, the centerpiece of our native restoration efforts here on the farm.

When available, we’ll stop and say hello to our cows, chickens or sheep who rotationally graze our pastures.

And finally, we’ll take a peek inside our biodiverse “Fruit Basket” orchard where we grow 65+ different varieties of fruit (and taste test what’s in season, if possible!), then head up to Alan York Lookout for sweeping views.

Private Tour Pricing:
1 person: $500
2-5 people: $1,000
6-12 ppl $1,500
