Reed avocados

Reed is a seasonal avocado variety that can be enjoyed well into summer. Believed to be a seedling of the Guatemalan Nabal, Reed produces large, round fruit with thick, leathery, pebbly green skin and a large pit. Its smooth, creamy flesh has a deliciously nutty flavor and can be harvested early in the season when the flesh is still firm but ripe. Unlike thinner-skinned avocado varieties, Reed gives less when squeezed, so it can take a little practice to know when it’s ready to enjoy. As it softens, its rich, creamy flesh is delicious sliced, spread, or mixed with chile, fresh mint, lime juice, and sea salt.

Each 5 lb box features a curated selection of Reed avocados—a seasonal variety exclusive to our farm, available for just a few weeks from late summer to early fall, once fully mature and delicious.

Harvested to order & shipped directly from our farm to your door

Each Monday, avocados are hand-picked to order for delivery boxes with careful attention to peak flavor and shelf life, packed on the farm in 100% recycled materials, and shipped on Mondays & Tuesdays via USPS Priority Mail.
