FARM TOURS

Our farm tour schedule and ticket links are announced & accessed exclusively via our newsletter, so make sure to sign up via the link below to stay in the loop. Availability for our next tour season will be announced in Spring 2023.

Once tickets go live, they are sold on a first come, first served basis. Tickets sell out quickly due to high demand, but guests have the option of signing up for our waiting list to be notified if/when tickets become available.

As a dynamic, complex working farm, tours take place on Saturdays only. We are not able to accommodate drop-in tours or any visitors during working hours. No exceptions.

Other ways to see the farm include dropping by our On-Farm Saturday Farmstand anytime between 10am-5pm to explore the market garden and shop our current harvest, or by arranging a private tour.

THE BIGGEST LITTLE TOUR

Join us for The Biggest Little Tour, our signature 2 hour walking tour of Apricot Lane Farms!

John and Molly Chester embarked on their farming journey 11 years ago, and have regenerated what was barren land into a 234 acre working farm integrated within a reawakened ecosystem. See it for yourself as we traverse 1.5 miles of farmland, exploring how Apricot Lane Farms utilizes the interconnectedness of nature to build soil health, maximize biodiversity, and grow the most nutrient-dense, delicious food possible. This all-encompassing walking tour makes several stops, including:

  • The Farm Fertility Center to learn how we build healthy soil rich in beneficial microbes using worms, compost, and biodynamic methodologies
  • The Certified Wildlife Habitat Pond, the centerpiece of the farm’s native restoration efforts
  • Alan York Lookout to take in sweeping views of the farm
  • A stop by our chickens, sheep, and/or cows grazing in our pastures or orchards
  • “The Fruit Basket,” an experimental orchard where we cultivate biodiversity by growing 75+ different fruit varieties with cover crop and pollinator-friendly plants
  • Market garden, where we grow vegetables, herbs, and flowers in harmony with the seasons
  • A visit to Bella, Emma the pig’s granddaughter

THE BIGGEST LITTLE TOUR INCLUDES:

  • Two-hour, moderately strenuous walking tour led by one of our most experienced farmers
  • Opportunities to ask questions of your expert guide and farm team members
  • Time to shop our Farmstand including fresh produce, pastured eggs and meat, and Apricot Lane Farms products and merchandise

TICKET PRICE:

$50 each (plus processing fee). Limited to four tickets per order, ages 10 and over only please.

Tour guests must be able to walk at least 1.5 miles, and some tours involve several hill climbs. Please note that summer tours are typically during hot summer temps with limited shade. All ages are welcome, but our tours are educational in nature, and the information is not child-centered. Parents are responsible for children at all times, and should determine prior to purchasing tickets if their child is equipped to take a walking tour.
